  • Coco Moseley

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Coco joined the Sheldon Museum in November of 2023. She holds a Master’s Degree in Women’s Studies/History of Science from UW-Madison, where her research interests focused on the history of health education and material depictions of illness and well-being. She is passionate about community driven organizations that offer their visitors opportunities for reflection, learning and fun. Most recently, she was the Library Director for Lawrence Memorial Library in Bristol, VT. She lives in Lincoln with her husband, daughter and pup. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, open lake swimming and horseback riding in the woods and fields around her home.

  • Cara Mosier

    ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR

    Cara grew up in New Haven, Connecticut where she studied at the University of New Haven.  She finished her studies in Accounting at Community College of Vermont after raising her three kids.  Cara moved to Addison, Vermont from Connecticut in 2000, with her husband Brad and her two sons Scott and Matthew.  They welcomed their daughter, Ava, in 2007. After Brad’s passing, Cara found the second love of her life with her current husband, Paul Mosier. They have been happily married since 2021 and enjoy spending time with their combined families of six children and 7 grandchildren, with twins on the way! Cara was the Business Manager of our county’s beloved agricultural fair, Addison County Fair & Field Days for 18 years before coming on full-time at the Sheldon Museum in January 2025.

  • Eva Garcelon-Hart

    ARCHIVIST

    Eva has overseen the Sheldon Museum Stewart-Swift Research Center archival collections since 2011. She earned her Master’s Degree in History of Art and MLIS from the University of California at Berkeley. Since the mid-1980s, she has worked for institutional and private archives, including that of Nobel Laureate Czesław Miłosz and The Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley. In 1999 she moved to Vermont, where she worked as a consultant for the Vermont State Archives, Vermont Folklife Center, and artists’ estates. In her work at the Research Center, she is particularly interested in bringing to public attention its overlooked stories and collections through exhibits and public programing.

  • Barbara Rathburn

    VISITOR SERVICES COORDINATOR

    Barbara is originally from Niskayuna, NY and received a B.S. in Fashion Merchandising from Marywood College in Scranton, PA. She went on to earn an M.A. in Museum Studies: Decorative Arts/Conservation from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and has over 30 years of museum experience starting at the Shelburne Museum. In 2006 she moved to Glens Falls, NY, where she was Registrar and Collections Manager at The Hyde Collection. Barbara returned to Shelburne Museum in 2012 as the head of the Registration department and was later promoted to Director of Collections. Barbara lives in Ferrisburgh with her husband David, she has three stepchildren and eight grandchildren ranging in age from 3 to 21. She is thrilled to be working at the Sheldon and enjoys meeting visitors and friends of the Museum

  • Emily Bryant

    COLLECTIONS MANAGER/CURATOR

    Originally from Natchitoches, Louisiana, Emily Bryant earned her B.A. in anthropology in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, before moving to the Dallas–Fort Worth area, where she completed a master’s degree in journalism and worked in communications as a graphic designer and editor. In 2013, she relocated to Bloomington, Indiana, to pursue a Ph.D. in Folklore with a concentration in material culture studies. During her 12 years at Indiana University, she spent seven at the IU Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, first as a Curatorial Assistant and later as Collections Manager. She recently joined the Henry Sheldon Museum in Middlebury, Vermont, as its Collections Manager and Curator.
